In a Vase on Monday
With so much happening the garden, it’s inevitable that there’s lots going on in my vases too. Most of the time they’re all full…
I accidentally cut off a bloom, so of course it had to go in a vase.
Not one of the best arrangements, I think in this case it was just throw it all together and hope it’s OK. I also tend to add to them over time and I suspect this later evolved into one of the vases below.
One of my favourite arrangements yet has to be the Geum and Campanula
Finally, I cut one of the Lupin blooms as it was beginning to go over and accidentally cut the smaller one too. Unwilling to cut a third bloom from the plant, I decided to make use of the plentiful Campanula (as also seen in the background).
I have to laugh at the ridiculousness of such a tall bloom in such a small and dainty little milk bottle. Yes it did fall over. A lot.

Ooooh I do like the look of your vase. I should like to see that sat on the table. Beautiful. D
The geum and campanula vase is perfect! Beautiful!
I love the natural look of your arrangements!
I’m laughing with sympathy about the lupine falling over – once I filled a decent-sized glass vase with very tall delphiniums and knocked the whole thing over. Ugh, what a big mess. Lovely airy vases you have there. I’m thinking of adding a few more Totally Tangerine geums to my back garden – I need to have larger clusters of plants to create the right scale for my big beds. Love that plant.
They are all lovely Liz – and isn’t it good creating a vase from our accidents? It makes them worthwhile…. 🙂 Wouldn’t you like to link to the meme by leaving a link on my blog after you post? Not to worry if you don’t ps I have found somewhere I can buy the milk bottle holder and bottles that you have…
Your flowers are so beautiful as you photograph them in your garden and just as stunning in a vase….lovely!
