Such a pretty flower.
Thank – still not sure they’re supposed to be spotty like this; but it’s something different at least.
Sorry to be negative but it looks sick to me. Maybe it looks better in life.
No problem; I’m not sure I like them either as in general I don’t like speckled/variegated plants. it might well be sick, or some sort of abnormality. But I have a few of them, all the same so I think that’s a less likely option but it was my original assumption. The plant is otherwise healthy with strong leaves etc. But some blooms do indeed have large patches that are, what I assume to be the original colour – solid pinkishpurple.
So yes, maybe they’ve just gone a little crazy.
This could really create a lot of interest in my garden, I am going to check in to this further.
Whether they’re meant to be like this or not, they’re gorgeous. Make me think of raspberries and whipped cream 🙂
What a most unusual dahlia…I just love it
superbe ces fleurs
I think it looks gorgeous! 🙂
A dahlia with chicken pox! 🙂
I like Cathy’s comment! More than I do the dahlia… Wonder how that happens? Or if it is just a one-year aberration.
