In a Vase on Monday

This week we have Tulips and Narcissus ‘Minnow’. I really ought to find out the name of the tulips I have this year…

I have only one batch of Tulips left which should be in bloom soon as the buds are swelling but haven’t yet begun to turn pink. After that, I’ll have to depend on blooms from the garden which at the moment are somewhat sparse. Realistically I could probably cut some forget-me-not and Geum flowers but I would struggle for much more to fill a vase.

    • Hi Donna,

      Thanks very much 🙂

I’m not one for vibrant colours, especially not red but it does make a nice change some times. And definitely worth it at this time of year when the perennials are only just beginning to bloom… Plus, after winter any colour is especially nice.

    • Hi Angie,

So far I’ve been planting them in my parent’s garden. My mum doesn’t have many spring bulbs and they often fall pray to my dad ‘weeding’ them out. So I figure I’ve nothing to lose by given them to her. Then once I move this year I’ll try to build up my own bulb collection again.
