In a Vase on Monday
A quick post from me today as it’s getting late now!
Guess what???!!
No roses this week!!! Instead lots of Dahlias. I think you’ll also be seeing a lot of these popping up in most vases; there are a lot of them.
Again, trust me on this; the red is actually a much deeper dark, blood red. Shame I’m finding it difficult to capture properly and don’t have enough motivation to mess around with my camera settings because I’ll never get it back again.
A few other plants also found their way into the vase such as Clematis summer snow and Lady’s mantle.
Please pop over to Cathy’s blog for more vase posts.

Stunning Liz….the dahlias are beautiful with the Lady’s Mantle.
Gorgeous dahlias. I have a red one llike that too. I can’ t get the colour to come out right on photos.
Lovely combo ! So frustrating when colours are not true – I have real problems with blues and purples too.
I am aware that I must have missed lots of your vases, Liz, as I tend to go through Monday vases from links on my blog and as you don’t always post a link there (not a criticism – just a fact!) I forget to access them by other means, so apologies for that. It’s good that you creating them anyway although I am usually pretty conscientious about responding to all those who support the meme! I love your pink dahlias in particular and they look especially lovely with the alchemilla.
Lovely! I just read your end of month post as well. I feel the disconnect from the garden right now, too. Life gets busy and it’s hard to keep up with everything. Good thing the garden waits patiently – with weeds popping up, but oh well – until we’re ready to give it more attention!
